I think I have become obsessed with a game. Usually, I'm not a gaming person, but this game on my Myspace page has got me addicted. It's called Vampires and I get on my laptop at many times of the day just to play it, when I could be doing something way more constructive like working on my writing. I debating whether to get rid of the game, so I don't have to worry about it anymore, but it's so much fun, even though you're not really doing much.
I try not to play it too much, but I can't help myself sometimes. I'm focusing more on the game, than my actual myspace page. What is wrong with me?
I'm actually playing it, while I write this.
I really am obsessed with this game.
What do I do?

Breaking addictions
Date: 2009-07-11 08:08 pm (UTC)When it comes to little games like that, they're purely made for boredom than anything else, so you probably get bored pretty easily. My suggestion is to try and come up with another time filler in place of that game. Writing or reading is a nice alternative or playing a different game could help too.
Then there's the harder alternative, which you may most likely have to do.
Get rid of it.
It'll be hard at first and you'll probably have the urge to play it, but that's just one of the challenges to breaking an addiction. Try your best, and if you need any more help, contact me.
Good luck!

Ps. Thanks for friending me. :D

Thanks again for the advice.
And you're welcome for the add.
