Actually, based on several items, I think it's totally going to be Bobby who faces death (and "faces death" doesn't automatically mean "dies", luckily). I don't know if you've seen some other spoilers, so I won't go there, but in terms of the Hero Cycle, father figures die off all the time. And Bobby's had several seasons of story, whereas we're just starting to get character in terms of Castiel and his relationship with Sam and Dean.

And I have no idea on this front, but I feel like the story with God isn't finished yet, and Cas would be key for that part. Bobby? Not so much.

Well, the spoilers have indicated that Bobby's going to make a deal with Crowley (which I'm totally psyched about). They could be screwing with our heads, but unless something they're keeping something drastic back, I can't imagine Bobby could offer anything up but his soul/life.

I half wonder if "faces death" is "faces Death". I don't think it is, since I think Dean's meeting with Death in the episode prior, but it'd still be hilarious.
