OMG. I Was Nominated.

Voting starts September 14, 2010, and I believe you have to be a member of the community to vote.

I never expected something like this, but it makes me very happy and honored. I was nominated for a Twislash Award. I don't know if any of you know this, but I do write. I just don't post them on livejournal.

I post mainly on fanfiction.net. Some of my earlier stories are on there, and I cringe at them now, but I think I got better. Alot better. XD

The story that got nominated was 'The Games People Play' focusing on Emmett and James from Twilight. I'm not a huge fan of Twilight, but for some reason I love writing about the characters. I think alot of the characters were wasted and had alot of potential. Instead Meyer pushed them to the side to focus on Edward and Bella's "love." Boo!

That particualr story just happens to be my absolute favorite one I've written so far. I love it, and it's my baby. To be nominated by other people who seem to like it as well makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Congrats on your nomination! I love the idea of an Emmett/James pairing. (And I've been writing Leah/Bella, so I know where you're coming from about not liking the canon material but writing it anyway.)

I'm much more interested in non-canon pairings. There's just so much potential, and it's a lot of fun to mess with the characters. Glad I'm not alone.

I agree; non-canon pairings and secondary characters have so much to draw from! In this case, just the idea of the pairing you've chosen is very interesting to me.

I actually was inspired by someone else's story. I would've never thought of the pairing on my own.
